Disclosure

Tommy & James carries no affiliate links, no display advertising, no sponsored posts and no paid placements. No supplement brand, laboratory, clinic or telehealth service has paid for coverage or seen an article before publication. The site is funded out of pocket by its author.
This page states every commercial relationship behind Tommy & James. As of the last-reviewed date at the top of this page, the list is short, because there are none.
Does this site earn money from what it recommends?
No. Tommy & James currently carries no affiliate links, no display advertising, no sponsored posts and no paid placements. No supplement brand, telehealth service, laboratory, testing company, clinic or device manufacturer has paid for coverage, been given editorial input, or been sent an article before publication.
Then how is it funded?
Out of pocket, by its author. That is the entire funding model at present.
What happens if that changes?
Three things, in this order. This page is updated first. A visible disclosure block appears at the top of every page carrying a paid link, before the article text, not buried at the bottom. And the editorial rule stays the same: a commercial relationship never decides what gets covered or what a page concludes.
| Relationship type | Status | If it ever starts |
|---|---|---|
| Affiliate links | None | Visible block at the top of the affected page |
| Display advertising | None | Labelled as advertising, never styled as editorial |
| Sponsored or paid articles | None, and none will be accepted | Not applicable |
| Supplement or telehealth partnerships | None, and none will be accepted | Not applicable |
| Laboratory or testing referral fees | None, and none will be accepted | Not applicable |
Why does this matter more in health than elsewhere?
Because the money in women’s health flows toward selling things: tests, supplements, hormone subscriptions, apps. A site paid by a supplement brand will find reasons to recommend supplements, usually without meaning to. Naming the incentive is the only honest way to let you weigh what you read here.
Questions
If you think a page reads as though something was sold, say so through the contact page. That is a fair challenge and it will get a straight answer.
